Leila Haddad is one of the world's premiere bellydancers. She lives and teaches in Paris, France but comes to the United States to teach workshops and perform.  She has been a regular presenter at Rakkasah East in New Jersey.

Rakkasah is the largest Middle Eastern Folk Festival and Fantasy Bazaar in the world.  The festival is preceded by a week-long workshop featuring internationally known bellydancers, folk dancers, and music teachers.

The Belly Dance NY website was created to be a one-stop resource for Metropolitan New York Area Belly Dancers, dance enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to know what's what and what's happening in this particular and often baffling corner of the Belly Dance World.

PhiladelphiaDANCE.org has been established as a free web forum for the promotion of dance companies and dance performances in the Greater Philadelphia Region.  It also provides for discussion groups on everything from choreography to funding sources, all dance styles from ballet to hip hop, as well as such topics as locating supportive services from photographers to dance agents.

Twisted Tassels Tribal Troupe is the premiere ATS Gypsy Tribal Troupe of performers in the Hudson Valley and Ulster County Catskills region (New York).  They offer classes, workshops, performances and more!  This troupe was founded by our friend Perizad ya bint al Haw (Charlene Roberts).

Hipnosis is a Tribal Fusion troupe dancing in the Philadelphia area.  Besides their own excellent work, the haflas and workshops that they host are becoming increasingly important as showcases for regional talent.

Fringe Benefit, our sister New Jersey Tribal Dance Troupe, brings a delightful new twist to the Tribal scene.  Their sense of humor, blended with style keeps audiences delighted throughout the show.  They quickly change gears from Flamenco-flavored world beat to '50's be-bop and from stately fan work to hilarious burlesque with just a few prop changes and a lot of attitude.  They are obviously having fun and observers are not just drawn in, but sucked into the vortex.  Don't miss this troupe's next show!

Willow Mahsati (Christine Dempsey) incorporates chi/energy work and gentle yoga stretches for self-awareness into her class warm-up.  These concepts, in combination with beautiful and sensuous bellydance movement technique, create a completely blissful mind/body/spirit bellydance experience.  Come experience Bellydance Bliss!  Willow teaches bellydance in Kingston, New York in the beautiful Hudson Valley.

Ms.Zabaneh is an accomplished professional Spanish, Latin and Middle Eastern dancer/teacher.  She was born in Bogota, Colombia but now lives and dances in Miami, Florida.

MagicCat Photography has taken many (if not most) of the pictures presented on this web site.  These talented artists shoot in Digital, 35mm and Medium Format.  They do both Classic Portraiture and Modern Photojournalism.  And of course they do weddings.  Their photos are simply stunning!  (Which is a big reason this site looks as good as it does).

Alborada Spanish Dance Theater is New Jersey's premier Flamenco and Spanish dance company.  The Company was originally founded in 1965 by Marķa Alba, known to many aficionados as being the greatest exponent of the seguiriya in the US.  In 1980, the Company was revitalized under the direction of Marķa and its current Director, Eva Lucena, who brought to the company a group of extraordinary new dancers and choreographers.

The Cauldron is a new Pagan and Wiccan shop located in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.  Tel# 732-899-6161.  The Cauldron offers a wide variety of items for alternative spirtual paths, as well as numerous workshops and Circles.

Soorya Performing Arts is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2003 in order to fulfill the needs of all people interested in Indian culture, especially its traditional art forms of Dance and Music.  Based in Saint Louis, Missouri (and also with a school in Central New Jersey), Soorya offers year-round classes in the dance disciplines of Bharathanatyam and Kathak.

Daniel GreenWolf is an exceptionally talented magician, story teller, singer, commedian and bard.  He performs for everyone, for every age, and for every perceivable venue.  He even shared a stage with us once.

"Venus Rises" is an independent science-fiction vidcast series by J.G.Birdsall. The concept for VR was first drafted in 2002, where it lay dormant until the first cast was assembled in 2004. Since then, there have been over two incarnations of the series, leading up to the current team's efforts launched in Spring 2006. Venus Rises is writer/director J. G. Birdsall's first fully featured series using the Internet as a medium of distribution.

Juggling Suns has been astounding audiences from New Jersey to Japan for eight years now with their unique style of cosmic dance music.  They have released five albums on Relix Records, have been featured on several compilations, and have toured nationally.  The Juggling Suns have shared the stage with everyone from Tom Constanten, The Radiators, Widespread Panic, Hot Tuna to Bruce Springsteen.

Nicole Goetchius is the owner of Om Baby Yoga Studio in Point Pleasant, NJ.  She is a certified Vinyasa Yoga instructor through the White Lotus Foundation and is a certified Prenatal Yoga teacher through Kripalu.  She is a certified elementary school teacher and founder of Learning Through Movement, which teaches concepts through dance, music and art.  She offers prenatal dvds, audio CDs, and all levels of hatha yoga.

Based in northern New Jersey, the Internal Gardens™ School of Classical Taijiquan is a traditional school of tai chi (taiji) instruction.  This is classical tai chi, the tai chi of the ancients.  It is a rare tradition of training and practice that can be difficult to find anywhere in the world, let alone in northern New Jersey.  It's the old tai chi.  The real tai chi.  It's tai chi with the martial edge left intact.  Highly recommended!

MincePye is a talented group of musicians that includes Paul Ash and Scott Long.  They do genuine medieval instrumentals and ballads with an Eastern European and Middle Eastern slant.  You can also see pictures of Paul and Scott playing with Karpathos on the Theater Caravan on the Lakewood Renfaire, 2004 page and the Friends page.

Absinthe Designs.  This is the link to Aislynn's online art and jewelry business.  Aislynn is a member of the Daughters of Sophia Tribal Dance Troupe.  She is also a gifted artist who attended the New Jersey Governor's School in Fine Arts.  She did the art work for our caravan's reverse-curve stairs and waggon wheels.  She can make, draw or illustrate just about anything.
